Adventures in Neah Bay

New parents can still surf. We took a trip out to Neah Bay this year to camp. We surfed everyday, just had to take turns and be a bit more scheduled. Thursday and Friday were gray and drizzly. Thank god we had our VAN to sleep in. Pretty comfy the first night, then I started to feel the bar in the fold down bed... Saturday and Sunday were sunny and beautiful and I did not want to leave.

Sai was kind of grumpy at first but he soon became a Happy Camper!

I picked up a copy of the 3rd Twilight book (takes place out here) so I could read and relax on the beach.

Hobuck beach in Neah Bay

Bungee Skim or Slingshot skim as we call it. This is one of Narayan's new favorites (I have tried it but usually end up on my face). You plant an anchor in the sand with a bungee cord attached and stretch it along the beach. Then you get on your skimboard and tell your friends to let go.

Here is Garson riding the bungee skim on the right. Silly new sports also attract quite an audience.

Morning sleepy head!

Narayan in his wetsuit feeding Sai.

Thea in her wetsuit entertaining Sai with a favorite elephant toy. Check out our sleeping quarters!

Nate brought his boat up the second day and after some repairs, he, Tara and Erik went fishing. I think they caught like 5 big fish, we all got to feast.

Food: the best part of camping.

Great time.
