Neah Bay 2010

4th annual trip to Neah Bay played off without a hitch this year.

On day 3 we walked out to Shi Shi. This was my first time here. Apparently it's not a little secret that I learned about from my Vashon friends, A lot of people know about Shi Shi (but not many pronounce it correctly) it was quite busy at the beach. But, man it was breathtaking.

We even saw whales!
I didn't get any on camera, but I did get a picture of Cori and Erik spotting them haha.

Hobuck, no that's not a dirty insult, that's the beach we camped at. It's pretty nice, they have facilities, you have to go early to get a good spot, but the grounds will never fill up, they just squeeze em in!

I was totally nervous to go on this trip to be honest, but we had it on the calendar for months. Sai couldn't have been more awesome. He loved camping. He never complained, never cried, he went to bed when he was asked and he cleaned up after himself (ok dreaming here). But really the kid just likes being outside!

We stopped at Sol Duc hots prings on the way home which was the perfect way to end a camping trip sleeping through cold nights on a hard bed. It was very crowded but once you joined in on the relaxation, you don't really mind all the partly naked, white, elderly bodies surrounding you.
I didn't really get a good shot of the hot springs but I did get a cute picture of a chubby baby lounging by the pool.
