Sai has some new moves that have been keeping me busy as I try to contain him in a safe little bubble.
On Monday, I saw him pull up to a stand once, on Tuesday he pulled up at least 10 times. I couldn't believe it. I turned around to find Sai standing at the fireplace hearth, playing with the sooty ashes and tinkering with the vents on the fireplace! (No, the fire was not lit).
So now that I have removed all the choking hazards and off-limit items from the floor, I now have to move them off of the coffee table and side tables and hang them from the ceiling.
You would think he should be crawling correctly by now, if he is pulling up and all, but the best way to describe how he moves is the way a seal travels along the shore, grunting included. Both arms lurch forward then the hind quarters launch him to his chest (look at pic 2, he's getting air!). Then he teeters into something reminiscent of the worm, a move that only the bravest of the brave perform during a junior high dance.
He can move pretty fast using this vomit inducing technique. He can get from the living room, through the dining room and through the kitchen all the way to the cat bowl in....let's just say, in less time than it takes me to make a trip to the bathroom...I know, I tried it...

hee hee, too cute! I remember so well the DAY after Q learned how to crawl correctly he pulled to a stand and let go! Let's just hope Sai takes his sweet time learning to crawl correctly, cause he'll be even faster then! ;)
I think Sai will skip crawling and just start driving.
