Put some clothes on baby, it's starting to get cold out there! We had our wood delivered to heat the house this season. Thank God we have a nice blower on the fireplace to compensate for the inefficiency of baseboard heaters placed directly under all the windows in our house. I like the toasty warm feeling of hunkering down for winter, although it will get real old all too soon.
Sai had his first accident the other day when he tipped over onto a hard plastic toy. The high pitched cry just killed me. This is getting me thinking...how will I childproof the fireplace? Of course he is not crawling yet but he is scooting, and will be crawling before the cold season is over, not to mention the fact that he takes great interest in watching the pretty flames. I would be lying if I said that I'm not worried about the childhood accidents to come.

Fireside activity, time to put away the Nirvana and Pearl Jam books and learn some Raffi songs...oh yeah!
