On Christmas Eve Meena and John had a great party with family and friends, there was delicious food and a surprise visit from a well known man in red.

Santa stopped by for a visit!

Narayan kept everyone laughing with his funny one liners and southern accent (..?). He arrived asking all the kids "How's it gooiin"? He kept them in suspense as he searched through his bag for "only gifts for good boys and girls". They were relieved to each receive one.

Shiven and Ella were perfectly convinced that this was the real Santa as they looked outside for his reindeer which "were parked way up the road because it's too hard to turn around in the driveway..". Ella was especially delighted that Santa "came to her house first" (Santa said with two thumbs up).

Of course Santa came to sing Christmas carols with us. He did his own interesting version of Santa Clause is Coming to Town, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and "a little number from south of the border", Feliz Navidad. Shiven was very worried that Santa "forgot his guitar when left" we assured him that he was just borrowing uncle Narayan's guitar for the evening.
Too bad Uncle Narayan missed seeing Santa, he was in the bathroom the whole time...must have been the Swedish meatballs...
