Developmental Milestones

I rather like the new photo opportunities that come with a boy walking.
In the picture below he looks like he is dancing and snapping his fingers, rehearsing for Westside Story.

The fish was THIS BIG.

Along with walking, Sai has been doing lots of new stuff, all at once it seems.

He is clapping more, on command now (or just randomly). This all came after going to a track meet with Erin, Hazel and Quin. Sai watched the other kids clap enthusiastically and I suppose thought it looked fun.

Hand-hand coordination is a little off here...
He also waves more. He waves at the cats, waves night-night, and waves at all the people at the grocery store. Which makes me wonder, when do you teach kids not to talk to strangers? I don't like the idea of that at all, but yesterday at the park, an older woman who didn't speak English was talking to Sai and then proceeded to take Sai's hand and walk away with him! I took him back and her daughter from a distance yelled something to the effect of, "you can't take other people's kids, Mom". I'm sure she didn't mean any harm, but yeah...that was weird...kinda gets me thinking.
Here he is waving at himself

Practicing his escape

He is talking a bit too. He says mama (with a whine), da to daddy, will make some animal sounds when asked (sheep, duck, cat) and is mimicking sounds more.

He has also just cut 3 new teeth.
You can see his huge new top tooth here.
So, he has 5 teeth now, and he likes to eat rocks with them...I'll tell you more about that later...
